Happy Anniversary!

Uppercase Magazine had its 10 year anniversary in 2019. They held a cover contest with the theme “The Tools We Use”, with over 300 submissions. I did not win, but I really enjoyed the project, especially because it was my business’s 10th anniversary as well. I knew immediately it would be a watercolor mandala in my doodle style. I started with a photograph of "the tools I use" arranged in a circle for inspiration and created a sketch and a color study. These images show the process.
