Do you find yourself putting things off until tomorrow?
Is tomorrow a mythical land where you get all your stuff done? Do the piles of papers and lists magically grow as each tomorrow comes and goes? (Summertime especially!) I am a planner, but even so, things would pile up on my desk and stress me out. Over the past year I have been developing workflows for myself for different tasks and they have been helping me stay focused and more efficient (like planning these emails). It took some time to figure out what to do when, but the time investment was worth it because I now have a routine. I have started using a digital business organizer called Trello. It is an amazing free website that allows you to create digital boards that contain lists that then contain cards. The cards can be anything from checklists, notes, pictures etc. And, there is a iPhone and iPad app that syncs and keeps you very organized. What's great is that it's not just for business... you can use it for planning a family reunion, a wedding or just listing books you've read or places you want to visit. It''s been a great tool for me, give it a try for your next project.
